A round table on the development of biomedical invest platform

30 November in the territory of the innovative center "SKOLKOVO" held a Round table with participation of heads of Fund "SKOLKOVO", JSC "MIR" Alliance competence "PAM", representatives of JSC "Moscow exchange" and companies-partners.

Round table "E-invest platform as a tool to attract investment in innovative biomedical projects", moderated by Rahimjan of Ruziev, Chairman of the coordinating Council, PAM was devoted to discussion of questions of creation on the basis of "Intellect-inform-invest" (pam-iii.ru) as open as possible, in terms of projects investment areas with the opportunity for close collaboration with development institutions. The site plans to support various forms of investment: from crowdfunding to direct investment.

Rahimjan of Ruziev, Chairman of the coordinating Council, PAM:

"Electronic investment platform is a kind of prototype exchange of innovative projects. It can be a useful tool for small businesses and investors, and contribute to the development of the Russian pharmaceutical industry and create a highly effective Russian medicines, prevention and diagnostics."

Kirill Kaem, Vice-President of the SKOLKOVO Foundation, Executive Director of biomedical technologies cluster:

"The creation of linkages between innovative projects and potential investors is one of the main objectives of the Fund. Now the information base is fragmented. Or they are tied to specific research areas or development institutions. We are very often faced with a situation where the investor has no insight into the demand for interesting projects. The electronic platform will allow startups to gather in one place, to make clearer the risks and benefits of each project. This will attract not only specialized Biomed investors, but also those who are willing to invest in life sciences for the first time".

"Electronic investment platform "Intellect-inform-invest" is an important financial tool to raise capital in SMEs in Biopharmaceuticals. It is planned that the site will attract a broad pool of projects and investors, will launch a new direction for attracting investment in the innovative biopharmaceutical industry".
